are invited to come and experience the fun of playing on well maintained
grass tennis courts in beautiful Eastern Oregon. Playing on grass tennis
courts is a unique experience and we know you'll enjoy the experience and
have a ball. To arrange playing times and courts for your organization, or
to request information on events, please check the tournaments page or
please contact SAGA. |
SAGA, Inc.
(Save the Grass Courts Association) is a non-profit
corporation
established in 2007
to help
maintain the courts and organize play. If your
organization wishes to hold an event on the grass
courts, and it makes arrangements through SAGA, the
people who play do not have to become members.
We
strongly encourage you to make your first experience
playing on grass to be in one of SAGA's
events, in one of the tournaments, or in a group
event put on by your organization. If your first
experience playing on grass is in a group event, it
will be so much more memorable and so much more
fun. We guarantee you will want to come back for
more!

The grass courts in Baker
City are the only ones in the entire Pacific
Northwest of the United States. The
facilities include bathrooms, showers, club
house, covered viewing areas, a
storage building, and of course four lighted
grass tennis courts with state of the art
windscreens.

For those of you
who have no idea where
Baker City Oregon is located, it is 302 miles east of
Portland Oregon just off of Interstate 84. The closest major
city is Boise Idaho 135 miles further east on Interstate 84. Our
elevation is 3,200 feet above sea level and one of Baker City's
claims to fame is that the
Oregon Trail runs near by. There is lots of good outdoor
camping, fishing, hiking trails, hunting, snow skiing as well as
lots of clean air to breath. And of course some of the only
GRASS TENNIS COURTS open to everyone who likes to play the game
in the good old US of A!
